中国指责美国“严重军事挑衅”

China has accused the United States of a serious military provocation when two American B-52 bombers flew into China's territory in the South China Sea on December 10th.

The Defense Ministry claimed the US is deliberately raising tensions, and China firmly opposes violating international law and undermining its sovereignty and security interests under the pretext of navigation and over-flight freedom.

It demanded Washington immediately takes measures to prevent such incidents happening again, and to protect Sino-US relations. The ministry also repeated assertions that it would take whatever necessary measures to protect China’s sovereignty.
