韩国成立专门委员会听取沉船事故报告
South Korea's special committee on the Sewol ferry accident will begin hearing reports from relevant government departments today.
The South Korean ferry, Sewol, capsized more than two months ago off the southern island of Jindo, with 476 people on board. More than 300 people, mostly high school students, were killed or are missing.
According to a preliminary investigation, the captain Lee Joon-Seok and two of his crew members abandoned the ferry and the passengers as it went down. They were arrested soon after the accident and went on trial earlier this month, charged with murder. If convicted they could face the death penalty.
