CCTV9英语新闻：习近平教师节回母校

今天，全国人民欢庆教师节。习近平主席回到他以前读书的小学，向老师表示敬意，并为全国教育指明方向。

 

China is celebrating Teachers Day today. president Xi Jinping has marked the event by visiting his childhood school to honor teachers and to chart the course of education in the country.

President Xi traveled to the Beijing Bayi School, where he attended elementary and secondary school classes. The school shared some old photographs of the Chinese president as a student. Xi Jinping also called for better basic education throughout China. He urged teachers to produce students contributing to the course of Party construction and country prosperity.
