韩国抗议萨德部署愈演愈烈

韩国民众抗议部署萨德之声愈演愈烈，尤其是星州郡。周二晚上，居民和反对党成员举行了集会向政府施压。

Protests against the deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense missile system in South Korea have intensified, particularly in Seongju county. On Tuesday night, residents and members of opposition parties in the country held a rally to pressure the government. 

"My power is slight, but we want to stop the deployment of THAAD. So, I joined this assembly," said protester.

"We will object to THAAD and get back our Seongju. I am nearly 90, but I have to sit here for my safety. It is just absurd," said protester.

Seongju's "Anti-THAAD Committee" said a massive assembly is planned on August 15th, in time for South Korea's National Liberation Day.

Meanwhile, a recent poll suggested public support for president Park Geun-hye has dropped. 61 percent of interviewees nationwide had a negative opinion of Park. Experts attribute the dip to her insistence on deploying the THAAD system.
