After four days of rap, rock, and pop it was country music that closed the first ever iTunes festival in the U.S. on Saturday night. Performances from Keith Urban and Willie Nelson were on the line-up as part of the South By Southwest festival in Texas.
An excited crowd greeted poppy newcomer Mickey Guyton at Austin’s Moody theater on Saturday night, as well as a rocky performance from Keith Urban, and some favourites from county music legend Willie Nelson.
Nelson and his eight-piece band opened the 45 minute set with "Whiskey River" before making his way through a number of classics written or interpreted by Nelson during his many decades in the business.

Urban closed the evening with 90 minutes and 17 songs, including "Long Hot Summer," "Sweet Thing" and mid-tempo ballad "Cop Car."
For people hoping to watch the show from afar, Apple streamed all performances online, in much the same way it has offered its 30-night London version of the festival to non-attendees.
The iTunes Festival has been an annual event in London since 2007. This is the first time that Apple has brought the festival to the U.S..
