发布时间:

Every adventure comes to an end, and it is the same for China's space heroes, Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong. The two astronauts have wrapped up their month-long journey in space and returned home.

Jing and Chen boarded the Shenzhou-11 spacecraft to embark on their space odyssey on October 17th. The rocket departed from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch center in Northwest China. Two days later, the astronauts entered the Tiangong-2 space lab that was launched in September from the same center.

During their stay, Jing and Chen worked for eight hours a day, six days a week. The two completed more than 40 experiments over the past month, such as cultivating lettuce and raising silkworms in zero-gravity. Their 33-day journey is so far the longest stay in space by Chinese astronauts. Previously, the longest space trip involving Chinese astronauts was the 15-day Shenzhou-10 mission in June 2013.
