Cartoon Commentary, PLA 90th birthday ①: Military Parade op

Chinese president Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China(CPC) central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, reviewed China's armed forces and delivered a keynote speech to mark the 90th anniversary of founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) at Zhurihe training base in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on July 30. 

 

The grand parade demonstrates Chinese military forces stand well-disciplined, well-trained and well-equipped, serving as a bugle to march forward on stronger growth. The PLA, which has a 90-year history of glory and shoulders a mission to strengthen itself, remains confident and capable to defeat all intruders and safeguard China's national sovereignty, security and development interests. 

 

The PLA has become a heroic armed forces that follow the Party, serves the country with loyalty, and fights bravely to rejuvenate the Chinese nation. Xi's speech has confirmed the PLA's determination to adhere to the Party's leadership, to carry through the Party's guidelines and to pursue a path with Chinese characteristics to build strong armed forces, carrying out the hopes of the Chinese nation in a new situation. The PLA can build itself as a world class military force and make significant contributions for the Chinese dream.
