China has arrested more than 850 fugitives who fled overseas, in its campaign to net suspects implicated in economic crimes.
China's "Fox Hunt 2015" ran from April to December last year. It was part of the "Sky Net" global anti-corruption campaign. The fugitives were scattered over 60 nations and regions. 366 people turned themselves in. 212 of the fugitives were linked to cases involving 10 million RMB, or some 1.5 million US dollars. More than three-fourths of the returnees had been on the run for more than 5 years, and one had been at large for 21 years. The Ministry of Public security says "Fox Hunt 2016" will be launched soon.
