Chinese president Xi Jinping has met with visiting Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, in Beijing. President Xi said Sri Lanka is important partner to China's One Belt One Road Initiative.
The two sides should deepen pragmatic cooperation in fields such as trade, infrastructure, production capacity and technology. Wickremesinghe said Sri Lanka appreciates China's role in promoting global economic stability and growth, and thanked China for its long-time support to Sri Lanka.
