Protesters in east Ukraine's Donetsk have continued occupying government buildings, although Friday marked a 48-hour deadline issued to protesters by the government.
The pro-Russia demonstrators have turned down an earlier appeal by the country's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and said they would not leave the buildings until all of their political demands are satisfied.
They said they don't acknowledge Arseniy Yatsenyuk as prime minister because he was not elected.
Pro-Russian protesters have seized several government buildings in the eastern cities of Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkov since Sunday night, demanding referendums be held to secede from Ukraine and join Russia.
