French president Francois Hollande has invited the newly elected Ukrainian President to attend June 6th ceremonies marking the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Russian President Vladimir Putin will be among the leaders present at the ceremonies, and is expected to meet Poroshenko on the sideline of events.
The ceremony in Normandy marks the D-Day Allied landings that marked the turning point to the end of Hitler’s reign.
