云南威信脚手架倒塌7名工人死亡

KUNMING - Seven workers were killed on Friday after their scaffolding collapsed at a construction site in Yunnan province, local authorities said.

周五云南省一个施工点脚手架倒塌，7名工人遇害。

The accident happened around 11 a.m. at a cooling tower construction site at a power plant in Weixin county. eight workers were buried after the collapse, a Weixin County Publicity department official said Friday night.

事故与上午11点发生在威信县一个发电厂的冷却塔施工现场。脚手架倒塌后，8名工人被埋，威信县宣传部一名官员周五晚上说。

Seven died at the scene and the injured was receiving treatment at a local hospital, he said.

7名工人当场死亡，受伤人员正在当地医院接受调查。

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
