The paper describes the basic characteristics,stove bed structure and burner behavior of spherical hot stove,par- ticularly the design and production problem of such stove,such as appropriate diameter of refractory pellet,appropriate pellet charging weight,air resistance loss of stove bed,pellet clear-up cycle as well as blasting air temperature.

对球式热风炉的基本特征、球床结构、燃烧器的性能等进行了阐述,重点对球式热风炉设计和生产运行中的若干问题进行讨论,如适宜的耐火球直径、合适的装球重量、球床气体阻损、清球周期、风温等,认为我国球式热风炉技术是成熟可靠的,大型化发展的条件已具备。
