The head of the World Health organization has renewed her commitment to helping achieve China’s health reforms. But in an interview with CCTV, Margaret Chan warned of new dangers on TB and tobacco control and had tough words too for sports events like the World Cup, where lucrative sponsorship promotes fast food and alcohol. On her tenth visit to China as WHO Director-General, Dr. Chan spoke exclusively to James Chau in Part 1 of this special interview.
