During his inspections, Chinese Premier Li presided over a symposium for the finance sector at the People’s Bank of China. Li highlighted the government's view that the finance industry should support the Chinese economy.
He added that more financial support should be given to agricultural developements in rural areas to help farmers. And that small and medium-sized financial institution should gradually increase the proportion of direct financing in these areas.
