UN Security Council continues to discuss draft deal

The United Nations security Council is set to continue its discussion on a draft deal to resolve the Syrian crisis.

Russia's UN representative has said the country hopes all sides will respect Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Russia is also calling for an end to the idea of a ground attack. It says the move would undermine a potential plan to solve the crisis through political means.

The remarks came after Saudi Arabia and Turkey announced more than a week ago to send ground troops to attack extremists in the country.
