清净田地中
Floating in a field of purity

蓮苗佛華種
Lotus seedlings emanating Buddha's radiance

慈悲爲誦章
Mercy recited as verses

截断情汹汹
Severing turbulent emotions

摩訶盲漢多
The blind Mahātma is abundant

咄咄愚無狀
Clumsy and foolish

迷心如蠹蝕
Delusion erodes the heart like a moth

陷燃淨燈爐
Dip into the burning lamp of purity

抄刮突兀躍
Prancing and abrupt

呵呵凡與聖
Ha ha, the ordinary and the divine

誰當令朝朝？
Who shall govern day by day?

乃知一念起
Know that with a single thought arises

一萬念亦亡
Ten thousand thoughts cease as well

將啓方便門
Open the gate of expedience

皆內藏如來
All within contains Tathāgata

岑寂波神羅
Calm and solitary, wave-repelling

馳驅楚帆檣
Rapidly driving the Chu sail mast

豈知心是軸
How could one know the heart is the axis?

土闊天空長
Broad land, vast sky

網羅莫喧呀
Noisy entrapments not to be lured

璧月明兒瑕
The flawless moon still has blemishes

昨日迷勞從
Yesterday's confusion and weary toil

今日豁明日
Today's clarity and tomorrow's liberation

降志庸參覲
I humbly participate in the visit

贈書寄尼僧
Sending a book to the nun

如帷透梵剎
Like a curtain piercing a Buddhist temple

豁達如何清？
How is it so clear?

不用頭頭檢
No need to scrutinize

亦無底上懲
No punishment from above

麗麗怪言評
Beautiful, beautiful, strange words and comments

亦無口詆譴
No words of criticism or blame

禪修澈淚眼
Zen practice, eyes filled with tears

不圖自發華
Unintentionally blossoming on its own

久年憔悴形
Long years of withered form

相約非如花
Not as bright as flowers as agreed

聲聲咿呀笑
Every sound giggles and laughs

如是寶帽抖
Shaking the precious hood in this way

久久咒語叫
Continuously chanting

不聽虛空收
Not listening to the empty space

燈化咽沉烟
The lamp dissipates, swallowing the sinking smoke

皆非斧刀痕
None are marks of an axe

誰伴百牢閣
Who accompanies in the majestic tower?

甚怪燈炬台
What a strange lantern stand

江南故朝楚
Jiangnan, the ancient Chu dynasty

舊隸甘作催
Former slaves willingly push forward

慈円南土客
Merciful circle, southern soil guest

山值安郢客
The mountain encounters peaceful Ying guests

船歌共飛揚
The boat song soars together

供桓覺意壽
Offerings to Huanju and Shouyi

朗朗一窗光
Bright and clear, a window of light

闐銀著表彰
Highlighting dull silver

瑞桃直巢藏
A lucky peach straight into the nest

取用便遼牆
Quickly used to fortify the Great Wall

遊禪倩舉藏
Wandering in meditation, carrying and storing

原性浩渺茫
Original nature is vast and boundless

别多時已久
Long separated for a while

眼聲看不堅
Eyes cannot remain determined

看足相這個
Look enough at each other

又訴同異言
Then express similar and different words

治心多滋生
Cultivating the mind gives rise to many

共工頭淨源
Gonggong's head is the source of purity

劣劣湯火燒
Inferior boiling water burns

無窮積背迍
Endless accumulation and backwardness

卒無火中流
In the end, there is no flow in the fire

上下好交流
Up and down, good communication

尊賢賊無值
Respecting the virtuous is without value

菩塔入無極
The bodhisattva enters the boundless

吹折繁網罩
Blowing and breaking the dense nets

推閒開蔽合
Leisurely pushing and opening the obstruction

雙拄一身今
Two crutches, one body today

起至癡境迂
Rising to the foolish state

捧花祝如來
Holding flowers, offering blessings to Tathāgata

互相竊哂咧
Mutually sneaking laughs and grins

大唱尽如来
Singing the perfection of Tathāgata

羅漢大善章
The great virtue of the Arhat

自家無界縛
Boundless self

縛亦非法束
Even binding is not legally binding

涅槃大便名
Nirvana is also called great convenience

摩尼依般若
Mani relies on Prajñāpāramitā

並無熱錐開
There is no hot needle opening

雷光一片亮
A flash of lightning illuminates

時即現佛體
Time is the present Buddha's body

光明斯誰受？
Who receives the light?

風動須臾間
In the breeze, for an instant

言語點片分
Words are fragmented

日月喜相倚
The sun and the moon rely on each other joyfully

不耀全無境
Not shining, no boundary

游戏一生意
Playing with one's life

聚散何為冥
Gathering and dispersing, what is the darkness?

破淨三界落
Breaking and purifying, the three realms descend

猶如寒糠暝
Like cold husks in the gloom

举發誇言此
Raising and exploding, boasting about this matter

亦未命要命
Also not assigning importance to life

洞開一座城
Open a city gate

曉夜無影跡
Day and night without a trace

撼動天地囚
Shaking the captive heavens and earth

不是揚兩習
Not touting the dual cultivation

無執心頭等
The mind has no attachment

截斷了無執
Severing the lack of attachment

是是是堅實
It is precise, it is solid

游心亦猶鳳
The wandering mind is like a phoenix

抱印非逃遁
Holding the seal, not fleeing

入難無事私
Entering difficulties, no personal affairs

閑拂煙霞環
Casually brushing the smoke and mist

錯亂梵音煩
The chaotic Sanskrit sound is vexing

斜日照四關
The slanting sun shines on the four gates

雙手抱行杖
Two hands holding the walking staff

此生方便處
This life is a place of expedience

無處取所需
Nowhere to take what is needed

光明幻像塵
The illusion of light dust

晶瑩彷若證
Glistening, it is as if it is confirmed
