Eastern China's Hangzhou City has geared up to host the country's first-ever G20 Summit in September 4th and 5th. The city government has banned high-polluting vehicles. It also issued a directive prohibiting flying objects including drones. Large-scale factories will be temporarily closed.
Authorities are also finishing close to 700 renovation projects on expressways and water infrastructures. An official one-week company holiday has been declared. Residents are encouraged to leave the city with the government spending up to 10 billion yuan or US$1-and-a-half billion offering free travel vouchers to some of China's most popular tourist sights.
