马尔代夫前总统被下令逮捕

 Maldivian police said on Thursday that they had received an order to arrest former president Mohamed Nasheed.

马尔代夫警方表示他们于周四接到逮捕前总统穆罕默德．纳西德的命令。

Police spokesman Abdul Mannan Yoosuf told Xinhua that Nasheed would be arrested within Thursday together with former defence minister.

警方发言人Abdul Mannan Yoosuf 告诉新华社，纳西德和前国防部长将于周四被捕。

"We have obtained an order from the Criminal court to arrest former president," said Yoosuf.

“我们接到了刑事法庭逮捕前总统的命令。”Yoosuf说。

The arrest order was made following a string of arson attacks on police stations and court houses by supporters of Nasheed's Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) on Wednesday.

逮捕令紧跟着周三纳西德的马尔代夫民主党支持者纵火，袭击警察局后发出。
