Thailand's caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has insisted she will not resign, despite increasing pressure from anti-government protesters to do so. She says she has to stay on because it's her duty under the Constitution.

"I am not holding onto my role as a caretaker, but I am holding on to the rule of democracy which is owned by the people," Yingluck says.
