东海激光武器攻击是“毫无根据的纯粹捏造”

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang responded at the regular press conference on Friday that the laser weapons attack in East China Sea reported by the American media was "baseless and pure fabrication".

中国外交部发言人耿爽在周五的例行记者会上回应说，“美国媒体报道的东海激光武器袭击是“毫无根据和纯粹的捏造。”

It is reported that, in the past few weeks, US military pilots have been attacked by Chinese ships with laser weapons as often as 20 times in the East China Sea.

据报道，在过去几周，美军飞行员在东海经常遭到中国船只使用激光武器的攻击，次数多达20次。

The US Indo-Pacific Command said the attacks in the waterway were first reported last September and they would not give specific details about the incidents, but media reports quoting unidentified US officials said some of the fishing boats were Chinese-flagged vessels.

美国印度-太平洋司令部说，“去年9月首次报道了该航道的攻击事件，他们不会透露事件的具体细节，但媒体引述不明身份的美国官员说，其中一些渔船是悬挂中国国旗的船只。”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said that what the American media reported is totally "baseless and pure fabrication".
