日本男子东京新宿车站点火自焚,以抗议日本政府解禁集体自卫权。该男子已被送往医院,但是尚有许多人原地抗议。

A man has set himself on fire at Tokyo's busy Shinjuku railway station, in protest at the Japanese government's latest push for expanding its defense rights. He was taken to hospital, but a group of people continued their protest at the site.

Senator Nakagawa of Saitama Prefecture said, "In the past 69 years since the end of the World War Two, Japan has not fired a bullet to other country. Under the circumstances, I can not understand why we're discussing the right of collective self-defence rather than self-defence. The constitution aims to protect our citizen. But the authority is revising the constitution by himself. I can not understand it."

The Japanese government on Friday submitted the final version of resolutions on lifting the ban of collective self-defence to governing parties. In the past month, there have been protests almost daily at Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's residence, or busy commercial areas such as Shibuya and Shinjuku. Demonstrators have been calling for peace, and protecting the constitution. And they say they will continue to do so as the date for delivering the resolution gets closer.
