中国部分省市检测出日本放射性核素

Radioactive material has been detected in the air above Shanghai and other southeastern coastal areas, monitoring authorities said on March 28.

监测部门3月28日称，目前在上海以及周边一些东南沿海地区的空气中，检测出了放射性物质。

But the levels were "extremely low" and would not affect public health or the environment, they said.

不过，这些放射性物质“极其微量”，不会影响到公共健康与环境。

According to the statement, experts said no protective measures were needed against the material, believed to have been dispersed through the air from the quake-damaged Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear power Plant in Japan.

专家称，目前不需要采取任何防护行动。这次的放射性物质应该是来自于日本福岛第一核电站事故。

The committee said the detected levels of radioactive iodine-131 were below one-hundred-thousandth of natural background radiation and not considered harmful.

委员会称此次检测到的碘-131辐射量小于天然本底辐射剂量的十万分之一，不会对公众造成伤害。
